Social Skills Group For Young Adults

PEERS for Young adults is a 16-week social skills development program that: 

  • teaches new ways to make and keep friends
  • provides opportunities to practice these important social skills in a neuro-affirming group setting
  • provides unique support to parents/support person as Social Coaches.

Young Adults will learn about:

  • Conversational Skills
  • Appropriate use of humor
  • Electronic communication
  • Handling Direct and indirect Bullying, Arguments & Disagreements
  • organising Get-Togethers with friends
  • Dating Skills
  • Strategies for Handling Sexual Pressure

PEERS may be appropriate for neuro-divergent (Autistic/ASDer, ADHDer) Young Adults, people experiencing anxiety, depression or other social or behaviour challenges.
Young Adults must be socially motivated and attend each session with a social coach.
